Editorial policy
How we create trustworthy health content
Our standards for research, sourcing, medical review and corrections.
Evidence first
We base articles on clinical practice guidelines, systematic reviews and peer reviewed research. We prefer Indian sources where they exist: the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), ICMR National Institute of Nutrition, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Indian specialist societies, alongside the World Health Organization and leading international bodies.
Sources on every article
Every article lists its sources under “How we reviewed this article”, with links wherever they are publicly available.
Medical review
Before publication, each article is reviewed by a registered medical practitioner with relevant expertise. Reviewers check facts, dosages, reference ranges and red flag advice, and make sure the article tells readers when to seek care. The reviewer and the date of the latest review appear at the top of every article.
Keeping content current
We review articles regularly and whenever important guidelines change. The “Updated on” date shows the last time an article was meaningfully revised and reviewed again.
Independence
Medical recommendations are never influenced by advertisers or by Doctoright's own products. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled.
